As I am actually typing up this entry, my keystrokes have taken on a ‘teflon’ like quality most likely due to their over exposure to cheese nachos and guacamole. I hope it doesn’t lead to many mistakes, but if it does my apologies in advance.

Suffice to say I didn’t have to do much on Sunday, apart from feeding my face and watching the big game of course.

My daughter, Mia, enjoyed the big game also.

She had her dad in her domain (the lounge) and she was able to climb all over me like a defensive lineman on a quarterback. On occasion we tussled over who had control of the remote (something she always gravitates to) and she would always throw her self at any nachos that I fumbled, pulling off some remarkable recoveries!

And when her head coach (mum) pulled her off the field for a rest, she sulked like any good player does!

Sitting down and enjoying the game, it wasn’t lost on me about on how it worked out for everyone today.

Amanda spent the day preparing a few snacks and then taking naps the rest of the day (she is due with our 2nd in 8 weeks). As I did the chores the day before, she was more than happy  to prepare a few snacks in order to maintain my ‘energy’ levels. Though I’m not sure I really needed ALL of the 7000 kilo joules I consumed.

Mia got plenty of time with her dad to roll around and climb all over. Not only that, but the players in the bright uniforms that move around the big screen kept her focused and made her giggle in the 2nd quarter, maybe she saw something I missed?

As for me, due to a combination of gluttony and processed cheeses, I peacefully dropped into a trans-fat induced coma on Sunday evening satisfied in the knowledge of my successful implementation of   the ‘preemptive strike’.

I just hope it is just as successful during the World Series!
